Paul Ryan points to working Mom’s fourth job as tax plan at work
WASHINGTON, DC- Trying to redirect from an earlier tweet catastrophe, Speaker Paul Ryan (r) is finding new ways to promote his legislative win. Hitting the road Monday morning, Ryan lauded Wisconsin resident Claire Williams.
“Yea, I have another job,” Claire was quoted as saying. “It’s great. I had an open slot in my schedule from about 3 am until when my kids wake up at 6:30. I always felt lazy and guilty during those hours. Usually I just slept or caught up chores around the house. Now I can earn more money.”
Some point to examples like Claire’s of trickle-down economics in action. The unemployment rate has continued to stay low and many large corporations have passed along fractions of their tax savings to employees. Ryan and others suggest these data demonstrate the Republican agenda at work for middle class Americans.
When asked how she would spend the money earned from her new job, Claire started to answer but almost instantly fell asleep. Perhaps she will go on to have the perfect American Dream.
